No Formula 1 world champion has won the title with a bad car.
Many have won with great cars and on these occasions drivers (unfairly) do not get the full credit for their accomplishments because the car they had at their disposal was so immense - the Mercedes W06 is one of those.
Would Alonso, Button, Vettel, Bottas, Ricciardo, Massa have won races with the Mercedes W06? Of course they would have, because it was arguably one of the most dominant F1 cars of all time.
From day one of the new hybrid turbo era Mercedes got their maths right with a formidable power unit which is way better than anything else their rivals have cobbled together, while in the past two years they have produced two incredible chassis' - first the outstanding W05 and now the incredible W06.
In 2015 there was only one mysterious blip on the radar - Singapore - where the W06 was oddly out of contention, but apart from that it was outstanding everywhere else.
Congrats to Paddy Lowe and his team of clever people who fabricated this glorious piece of kit.
