Triple Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is set to appear in the latest edition of the popular Call of Duty video game.
Hamilton will appear as a character in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which is set for release on November 4. He appears in six scenes of the game. Footage from French TV station M6 showed an interview with the reigning world champion, where he filmed extreme facial expressions and recorded voice clips in a Los Angeles studio.
M6's footage shows Hamilton walking around a green screen studio, saying: "Captain, news reports coming on about the gateway if you want to join us" and "I'm right behind you". The world champion follows the likes of actors Jason Statham, Kevin Spacey and rapper Ice Cube, who are among the big names to have previously appeared in CoD games.
"I remember growing up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time, but that's how it was back in the day," he told M6. "It's crazy to see how far it has come - it's insane.
"I loved it, it was an incredible experience. I'm incredibly honoured to be part of this game -- I grew up playing it."
