Jenson Button has tipped his former teammate and fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton to win the current Formula 1 world championship battle and add another to his trio of titles.
Button told Sky, “I personally feel that Lewis... Italy didn't go his way, but I think he's going to win the world championship."
"He's come from such a long way back, I think everyone forgets how far he was behind Rosberg and he closed that gap over three races."
Indeed Hamilton trailed his Mercedes teammate by 43 points after the Spanish Grand Prix in mid-May, but since then he has bounced back and currently leads the championship by two points.
Button said, "For me, Lewis - when the car's working for him - the results are a lot more consistent. His qualifying is impressive and I think in a race you know he's in a very strong position."
"Mentally he's a lot stronger than he used to be, he's got a really good chance and he probably is going to win a fourth world title," added the 2009 F1 world champion who will make way for Stoffel Vandoorne at McLaren next season.
