Audi, Mercedes AMG, Porsche, BMW, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin headline a packed SP9 field expected to deliver relentless action across the full 24 hours around the Green Hell. Max Verstappen will be among the major attractions this year as the four time Formula 1 World Champion makes his full Nürburgring 24 Hours debut with Verstappen Racing in the #3 Mercedes AMG GT3.

Reputations mean little at the Nordschleife as the Nürburgring remains one of the few races where outright speed alone guarantees nothing, with traffic management, changing weather, reliability, strategy and driver discipline often deciding the outcome deep into Sunday afternoon.
Beyond the battle for overall honours, fierce competition is expected throughout the field as dozens of production based categories contest class victories across the marathon event.
From factory supported GT3 programmes to amateur and semi professional entries, the Nürburgring 24 Hours continues to combine elite international talent with grassroots endurance racing culture unlike any other event on the calendar.
Verstappen Racing will start the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours from P4 after Dani Juncadella delivered a late 8:12.005 lap in Friday’s final Top Qualifying shootout. The #3 Mercedes AMG GT3 finished less than a second behind pole sitter Luca Engstler in the Red Bull Team Abt Lamborghini.
Marco Mapelli qualified second with Christopher Haase third for Scherer Sport PHX Audi. Max Verstappen impressed throughout qualifying, briefly topping Top Qualifying 2 before a Code 60 interruption.
Verstappen, Juncadella, Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon now target victory in the SP9 class at the legendary Nordschleife endurance classic. May all involved in this great race be safe, and may the best teams win!
