Red Bull have reshaped their technical leadership structure with immediate effect, promoting Ben Waterhouse into an expanded role as Chief Performance and Design Engineer.

This step is comes as an effort as the team pushes to sharpen integration between key performance areas.
The move places Waterhouse in overarching charge of Design and Vehicle Performance, reporting directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache, in what Red Bull say is a step designed to accelerate the development of more competitive solutions.
Waterhouse is a long standing figure within the Red Bull system. He joined from BMW Sauber in 2014 as Deputy Technical Director at Toro Rosso before moving to the senior team in 2017, where he has served as Head of Performance Engineering.
Red Bull have also confirmed that Andrea Landi will join from 1 July as Head of Performance, reporting to Waterhouse.
Landi arrives with extensive Formula 1 experience, having previously worked as Ferrari’s Deputy Head of Vehicle Performance and later as Deputy Technical Director at Racing Bulls.
The appointments underline Red Bull’s intent to reinforce the core of its technical structure at a time when Formula 1 teams are under growing pressure to maximise every area of design and vehicle performance.
By expanding Waterhouse’s remit and bringing in Landi, the Milton Keynes outfit are tightening the link between performance engineering and design while also adding further depth from within the paddock.
Red Bull said the changes reflect their long term technical ambitions, combining internal promotion with the recruitment of experienced personnel from rival teams as they continue to invest in performance and innovation.
These latest changes within Red Bull Racing's technical department come in the aftermath of the announcement that Gianpiero Lambiase, Max Verstappen's long-time race engineer will leave to McLaren once he concludes his current contract with the team in 2028.
