Marussia driver Jules Bianchi will take a gearbox penalty for the Monaco Grand Prix, following a late change to the Ferrari power unit.

The Frenchman qualified 19th for the 78-lap race in Monte Carlo, ahead of Marussia teammate Max Chilton and Caterham duo Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson.

As per the regulations, the gearbox change warrants a five place drop on the starting grid - he will start 21st because Ericsson will start from the pit lane after a Qualifying incident with Felipe Massa. (GP247)
