Red Bull announced that four-time Formula 1 Champion Sebastian Vettel will take part in the "Red Bull Formula Nurburgring" event where he will drive the RB7, or Kinky Kylie, with which he won his second Drivers' Title in 2011.
Vettel, who retired from F1 at the end of the 2022 season after two years with Aston Martin, was famous for giving his F1 cars names, and Kinky Kylie was the name he gave for the RB7, which he drove in 2011 winning his second F1 Championship, as well as Red Bull's.
The Red Bull event is part of the "12H Nurburgring", the endurance series, set to take place at the legendary track known as the "Green Hell" in September.
Commenting on the event, Vettel said: "The myth of the Nordschleife resonated, even if we only drove the GP track at the time.
"In any case, it will be great fun to drive my RB7 - fuelled with e-fuel - on the Nordschleife as part of a show run," he revealed.
"'Motorsport is my passion. It's important to me to show that racing cars can run just as well and quickly with synthetic CO2-neutral fuel. And that is already today!" the German concluded.
Joining Vettel in the event is current Red Bull Reserve Driver Daniel Ricciardo, who will be at the wheel of the 2012 Red Bull F1 car, the RB8.
"I just got my invite to the Nuerburgring which is pretty cool. I'm going to be driving a Red Bull car around the famous track, so I'm very excited about that," Ricciardo announced.
The Red Bull event at the Nurburgring in September will be the first time an F1 car is driver around the iconic venue since Michael Schumacher drover a Mercedes F1 car there a decade ago (2013).
Vettel steered "Kinky Kylie" to 15 pole positions and 11 grand prix wins back in 2011 which was the second of a four-year dominant streak the driver enjoyed with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013.
Vettel won 38 races with Red Bull between 2009 and 2014, a figure eclipsed by the team's current driver Max Verstappen who has won 40 races with the team,
targeting his 41st at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
