Verstappen: Sebastian is crazy!

It was an early shower for Sebastian Vettel as he was eliminated in Turn 1, 200 metres into the Malaysian Grand Prix, as he was involved in a collision with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes - an incident which will no doubt divide fans with regards who is to blame...

Vettel made a good start from fifth on the grid and as he entered Turn 1 was contesting for third with Verstappen on his outside, but the Ferrari appeared to overshoot the turn in point, clattered into Rosberg and tagged Verstappen.

When the smoke settled it was Vettel parking his car on the side of the track with a skewed right front wheel, he said on the radio "I made contact to the Mercedes. I think that is it, suspension is damaged."

Out on track, with no damage, Verstappen made his thoughts crystal clear, "Sebastian is crazy."

Championship leader Rosberg ended facing the wrong way and resumed last, an race which promised an intriguing duel with Mercedes teammate and title rival Lewis Hamilton, was reduced to afternoon of catch up and damage limitation for the German.

Shortly after the incident Vettel told media in the Sepang paddock, "Both of us are making the corner, but Nico decides he is taking a different line. That is two things that are wrong. Nico, without any blame, gets turned around, and secondly I am standing here when the race is still going on."

"If you are squeezed to the inside your angle doesn't get better for turn one. "I was trying to turn to get the corner. Nico tries to cut back to fight Lewis and we made contact. Nico is not to blame, but I do not see what I could have done massively different," added Vettel.
