The two days of 2017 Pirelli tyre development tests on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunyahave concluded, with Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel of a Ferrari test car, modified to simulate the downforce levels of 2017.
The Pirelli tests at Paul Ricard, which began on Monday with Mercedes, will continue Wednesday with driver Pascal Wehrlein in the cockpit.
As with Monday's test, day two in Spain focused solely on slick tyres in the new sizes foreseen for 2017: 305/670-13 front and 405/670-13 rear.
Tuesday’s lap totals were, 156 by Ferrari and 89 by Mercedes, which are added to Monday’s 111 and 134 respectively.
The next test session is scheduled to be on September 21 and 22, where Mercedes will again return to Paul Ricard, but this time with the 2017 Pirelli wet tyres.
