Before you start telling me off about all the things that are making Formula 1 boring, I'm just going to tell you that I am fully aware that the sport is getting very technical and very artificial, which is causing it to shoot down the popularity scale quite fast.
But I am not here to tell everybody how bad the sport is becoming, in fact, I'm here for the opposite. I want to show everyone that this sport is not as bad as it may seem, so... let me tell you a bit about my opinion:
Yes, Formula 1 is maybe getting less and less exciting every race (apart from Hungary, that was a thriller!) and yet becoming more and more advanced with every race. But let me just tell you that, everything here in this world is getting very technical: computers, radios, dishwashers, televisions, phones, even to a certain degree are getting very advanced and harder to understand.
And with that being said, why is Formula 1 getting all the hate? Why did people have to choose Formula 1 to hate and not (for instance) the new iPhone 6+ that is coming out? Formula 1 does not deserve to get this much hate, though I do agree it could become slightly less artificial.
Now moving on to the drivers and teams.
Hamilton and Mercedes are in some opinions not helping the sport get much more popular, but if you think about it, Formula 1 has always had one team/driver that dominated.
For example: Michael Schumacher and Ferrari dominated the first 5 years of the 21st century, and Vettel also dominated 2010 to 2013 in his Red Bull alongside teammate Mark Webber.
McLaren absolutely obliterated everyone in the eighties until Ayrton Senna left them. So, maybe Formula 1 is getting quite boring these days but not as much as everyone makes out.
I love F1 as much as I love myself so I do not like it when people hate Formula 1 - if you don't like it don't watch, but don't hate.
Thank you for reading.
