Live: Watch Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls 2026 Formula 1 launch event

The event will be held in Detroit due to the new collaboration with Ford, who will be working with Red Bull Racing through their new power units division to develop the team's first in-house F1 power unit.

The Red Bull Ford powertrains' maiden product will also be used to power the sister team Racing Bulls.

The 2026 Red Bull Racing single-seater will be the first not to be designed by Adrian Newey since 2007, when the design guru penned the first design for the Milton Keynes squad after joining them in early 2006.

The car, the RB22, will be driven by Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar in 2026 and will be built according to the new F1 regulation set.

Racing Bulls, on the other hand, will have Liam Lawson in their car, while Arvid Lindblad will join him, replacing Hadjar, who in turn replaced Yuki Tsunoda at the senior team.

Aside from building their first ever power unit, 2026 will be a key season for Red Bull, who will be contesting with Helmut Marko's consulting services while Laurent Mekies starts his first full season at the helm, having replaced Christian Horner midseason in 2025.

The new season will also be vital for the team, who will be looking to convince Verstappen to remain with them beyond his current contract that ends in 2028.

The Dutchman fought valiantly with an underperforming car in 2025 and amid team instability for a fifth F1 Drivers' Crown but fell short by a painful two points as Lando Norris clinched his maiden Title.

Red Bull will then take part in the closed test in Barcelona between January 26 and 30.

The official pre-season tests in Bahrain will be held between February 11-13 and February 18-20.
