Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez believes his experience with Sauber will help him in his new role as Ferrari reserve driver, and is also expecting to learn a lot as part of the legendary Italian Formula 1 team.
Gutiérrez said, "I worked with Sauber for the past few years, knowing the [Ferrari] engine and how it developed from 2013 into 2014 with the new hybrid system was pretty important."
"That experience I will take with me to try and complement the people here, to give my perspective, to learn a lot with the experience I have."
Gutiérrez is relishing the prospect of working with four times world champion Sebastian Vettel and veteran one time world champion Kimi Raikkonen.
"It isa great opportunity as I can have a great reference, [learning from] the way of working between Sebastian and Kimi."
"They both have a lot of experience in top teams, so I am really looking forward to that experience. I'm going to learn a lot, be close to them and take myself to the next step," concluded the 23 year old Mexican.
