Red Bull Advanced Technologies will give its RB17 hypercar a first public running appearance at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed as part of a wider Oracle Red Bull Racing display featuring Formula One, F1 Academy and historic livery content.

The track-only hybrid hypercar will take on the Goodwood Hillclimb in a series of demonstration runs as Red Bull continues its testing and development programme. The appearance will give fans a first look at the RB17 in motion before its full performance capabilities are explored in dedicated track environments later this year.
Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Test and Reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull Racing Academy Programme driver Alisha Palmowski and former Red Bull Advanced Technologies chief technical officer Adrian Newey are scheduled to drive the car at Goodwood.
The RB17 was designed by Newey and developed by Red Bull Advanced Technologies as a track-only hypercar intended to bring Formula One-inspired performance to a customer car. The project has been in development for more than five years and combines high aerodynamic performance, advanced vehicle dynamics and a bespoke naturally aspirated Cosworth V10 hybrid powertrain.
Red Bull said the car had been created without racing regulation restrictions, allowing the engineering team to pursue a level of performance and technical complexity beyond the limits of a conventional race category.

Goodwood is the perfect place to celebrate

Oracle Red Bull Racing CEO and Team Principal Laurent Mekies said: “Goodwood is the perfect place to celebrate what Red Bull Engineering is all about. It brings together our heritage, our passion for innovation, and the incredible talent of the people behind our projects.
“Seeing RB17 come to life and run in front of the fans is a very special moment. It represents years of dedication, creativity, and engineering excellence from an extraordinary team. We’re incredibly proud of what they have achieved and look forward to sharing that experience with everyone at Goodwood.”
The RB17’s appearance will form part of a broader Oracle Red Bull Racing programme at the Festival of Speed. The team will also run the RB9, one of the most successful cars in its Formula One history, and display a selection of special-edition liveries from across its past.
The RB9 won 13 of 19 races in the 2013 Formula One season, helping Sebastian Vettel secure his fourth consecutive drivers’ title and Red Bull claim a fourth straight constructors’ championship.
Red Bull will also display a number of fan-favourite liveries, including the RB1 debut livery, the RB11 camouflage test livery, the RB14 special-edition livery, the RB21 Japan livery and an RB19 carrying the team’s 2026 gloss livery.

The engineering challenge has been immense

Rob Gray, Technical Director of Red Bull Advanced Technologies, said: “At Red Bull, we're at our best when we're taking on challenges that others might consider impossible. RB17 is exactly that. The ambition was to create a car capable of delivering a level of performance rarely seen outside Formula One, while remaining true to the original vision that inspired the project.
“The engineering challenge has been immense. We set out to deliver Formula One-inspired levels of performance in a customer track car, requiring us to solve countless challenges across design, engineering, validation, testing and manufacture.
“One of the things I'm proudest of is how closely the finished car reflects the original vision. Its dynamic debut at Goodwood marks an important milestone in the programme, as we continue to validate and develop the car in real-world conditions and explore its full performance potential.”
The event will also feature demonstration running from Red Bull’s Formula One and F1 Academy machinery, adding to a Goodwood line-up built around the team’s racing heritage and its advanced technology projects.
