The world’s most elite racing circuit just got a new betting partner. Formula 1 has announced a new partnership to make Asian Gambling Giant 96M its new official betting partner.

The goal for both sides is to expand F1 in Asian markets, leading to a genuinely unique agreement. The deal with 96M will go far beyond advertising. It will allow the sportsbook to offer Formula 1 insights and extensive odds on the 96MSports platform.
It will also allow the sportsbook to launch a forum for fans to interact with each other to discuss the latest news, favorite bets, and more. This will give customers far more access to the growing racing circuit.
96M is the latest gambling company to partner with Formula 1 , joining 188Bet, Stake, PartyPoker & Casino, and W66.

In addition to promoting F1 in Asia, this deal was also a massive win for 96M. The company has one of the top online casinos in the market and is looking to grow its sportsbook further. Its exclusive deal with F1 will give it an edge that could help expand the platform and the sport's popularity.
The sponsorship is the latest between a gambling entity and a pro sports league. While some believe these partnerships are dangerous, many have had a positive impact, leading to charitable donations and allowing players more access to their favorite sports.
The partnership with Formula 1 is the second major attempt to grow the 96M sportsbook over the last two months. The other was a partnership with CMB Sports, allowing it to launch its sports betting platform in Thailand.
“96M has firmly established itself as a global leader in sports betting, known for its extensive experience and strong international presence. These attributes make 96M the perfect partner for CMB Sports. We are confident that this collaboration will not only benefit 96M members but also drive mutual growth and expansion for both brands on the global stage,” a statement from CMB Sports read.

Asia is the latest in a long line of markets that Formula 1 has targeted. The league has spent the last few years elevating its numbers in the US, sending the sport’s popularity skyrocketing. The hope is that it will find similar success in the massive Asian market, cementing it as one of the world’s most popular sports.
The league has done a fantastic job of strategically expanding. It is partnered with many of the world’s largest companies, including McDonalds, Amazon, Rolex, Qatar Airways, and many more. Those companies have made significant investments with F1, giving it the ability to continue to expand into new markets aggressively.
Partnerships with sportsbooks have been another successful strategy. The popularity of sports betting makes those operators a tempting partnership, given the massive amount of people who now wager on sports.
Deals like the one with 96M allow the series to get more exposure with bettors, meaning more fans for Formula 1. The next Round of the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship takes place at the United States Grand Prix, at COTA in Texas.
