Charles Leclerc stamped his authority on the timesheets on the final day of the final 2026 Formula 1 Bahrain preseason test topping both morning and afternoon sessions.

Leclerc's best time was 1:31.992 which is still quit off pole time from 2025 in Bahrain which was 1:29.849 and clocked by Oscar Piastri.
And while Ferrari have looked solid, especially after the upgrade there have brought for this test, the Tifosi should be cautious not the celebrate the championship already as the the Reds have the habit of going for glory runs in testing.
But Leclerc also impressed as the SF-26 ran trouble free all Friday ending up with a tally of 132 laps.
A sign that Ferrari might be showboating while rivals were sandbagging was the 0.879s gap between Leclerc and Lando Norris who was second fastest in the McLaren while Max Verstappen was two tenths further down in third.
The reigning F1 Champion along with Piastri managed 113 laps for McLaren on the final day while Verstappen with Isack Hadjar delivered 124 laps for Red Bull Racing.
Preseason favorites Mercedes managed 131 laps despite and engine issue interrupting Kimi Antonelli's morning run while George Russell took over in the afternoon after an engine change on the W17.
Russell was fourth fastest in the end while Antonelli was eighth overall.
Pierre Gasly was fifth fastest with Alpine and ended the test with 118 laps on the board.
Haas accumulated 170 laps on Friday, more than any other team with Bearman contributing 88 of those in the afternoon with the sixth fastest time while teammate Esteban Ocon was 12th fastest with the time he set in the morning.

Audi end their test on a high

Gabriel Bortoleto concluded the test for Audi on a positive note as he and his teammate Nico Hulkenberg delivered 135 laps, the fourth highest lap count on the final day. The Brazilian was seventh fastest with the his German teammate 15th.
Arvid Lindblad had a busy Friday with an impressive 165 lap count as a reward for his efforts, that was only bettered by Haas. The rookie was ninth fastest on the timing screens.
Carlos Sainz was tenth fastest for Williams with 141 points. Valtteri Bottas was 14th for Cadillac with Sergio Perez 16th as both drivers put in 99 laps combined for the American team.
As for Aston Martin, things couldn't get any worse as the issued that hit them on Thursday continued to haunt them on the final day with the battery pack on their Honda power unit meaning they couldn't do any long runs.
Honda set the run plan was revised to do short runs separated by 30-minute breaks, but the team were not even able to do that.
They ended their day with six installation laps and packed up early as they now face a tough few weeks before the season opening race in Melbourne on March 6-8.
The session was concluded with practice of the revised race start procedure.
