The 2025 British Grand Prix could be a landmark event for homegrown talent, with both Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris poised to etch their names deeper into Silverstone history.
Hamilton, already a legend at Silverstone with nine British Grand Prix victories, will attempt to extend his record and become the first driver in F1 history to win 10 races on home soil. He currently shares the record with Michael Schumacher, who managed nine wins in Germany during his illustrious career.
A 10th Silverstone win may be unlikely given Hamilton’s form this year, and he's currently the sixth favourite among
top UK betting sites to win the British Grand Prix.
But nobody comes close to the 40-year-old when it comes to most wins at a single circuit, with Schumacher's victories in Germany split between Hockenheim and the Nurburgring.
Silverstone has been a happy hunting ground for Hamilton - he has managed to finish on the podium in each of the last 11 seasons.
Meanwhile, Norris is also chasing his own place in the record books with McLaren. The 25-year-old will draw level with Kimi Raikkonen on the McLaren podium list if he secures a top-three finish this weekend. Raikkonen currently sits sixth on the list with 36 podium finishes during his five years at McLaren.
Norris has finished on the podium in all but two of the 11 races this season, meaning he will be heavily favoured to continue that trend at Silverstone this weekend. Norris is currently leading the bookies' odds on the
top UK betting sites to win the British Grand Prix, with his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri a close second.
But betting on the race winner isn't the only market for punters to choose from for the British Grand Prix. Many
UK betting sites offer markets such as podium finishes, top-six results, first retirement of the race, and fastest lap, among others.
The 2025 edition of the British Grand Prix looks set to be a scorcher, and there will be plenty of value to be had up and down the grid.
