Flashback: Renault F1 cars and liveries over the years

Renault have had an interesting and varied journey in Formula 1 since they entered the sport with their revolutionary turbo project in 1977, since then the team, in various guises, has produced some iconic cars including World Championship winners.

The above gallery, ahead of Renault’s 2019 car launch is a tribute to their history in the top flight. Renault as a team has competed in 362 Grands Prix, winning 35 times, scored 100 podiums and winning two F1 drivers world titles with Fernando Alonso and two constructors’ titles in 2005 and 2006.

As an engine supplier, the French manufacturer has helped teams to 12 constructors’ titles and taken drivers to the championship on 11 occasions.

In 2019 the team will campaign the RS19 with Daniel Ricciardo joining the team to partner Nico Hulkenberg.
