F1 Authentics, who operate under the license of Formula 1, have announced that they are auctioning a Red Bull Racing simulator.

It features the team’s race-winning livery from the iconic Japanese Grand Prix in 2025. The red and white decals are a throwback to Honda’s win in F1, and also offer a more modern take on the RA272.
Simulation games, over the years, have experienced a huge boom in popularity. It’s not just racing that has been impacted by this, either. Titles like Flight Simulator, for example, have helped to raise the bar for what we expect from simulation games. With realistic cockpit setups, controls, and extensive accessories now available, enthusiasts can now feel like they are piloting a real plane.

Simulation Games Provide Accessible and Authentic Experiences

Even fishing simulation games are taking off, with titles like Real VR Fishing. This allows players to use motion controllers within the game, which helps to simulate the realism associated with catching and reeling in a fish within a virtual environment.
Even though some games are based around full simulations, many sports are also seeing a rise in casual variants as well, as they still capture the essence of the sport but with a more accessible entry point. Titles like the Fishin Frenzy slot game, for example, help to simulate the sport of fishing, with bright fish, fun graphics, and spinning reels. Icons like tackle boxes, rods, and buoys also make an appearance, which helps to pay homage to the authenticity of the sport, but in a format that is easier for new players.
In racing, we are also seeing a rise in non-simulation games, with titles like Forza Motorsport appealing to both hardcore fans and casual gamers. Regardless of what type of titles you like to play, the gap between high-end simulators and casual titles is closing, which is helping to draw new people to different sports. For fans of motorsport, this is only a good thing.

Get the Experience of Driving an F1 Car

Red Bull’s simulator works by recreating the full experience of driving an F1 vehicle. It comes complete with haptic rumble feedback as well as a full front pivot configuration. It also moves, which helps to add to the authenticity of driving an actual car.
Even though this is a one-off simulator, there are also a number of other items being put up for auction. This happens to include framed prints, alongside replica bodywork and some photographs. There is a reserve on the simulator, and you can find the auction page on the F1 Authentics website.
The simulator features the design of the 2025 Japanese GP Winning Livery and has been created thanks to the help of the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team.
If you want to be able to play titles on the simulator, then you will be glad to know that the F1 25 game comes installed as standard, alongside gaming hardware. It is not known whether other games can be played on it, but if the reserve is not met, then there is a high chance that it will be relisted.
