Toro Rosso have announced that they will unveil their 2019 Formula 1 Challenger, the Honda-powered Toro Rosso STR14, on 11 February, earlier than any other team so far.
The new Toro Rosso is expected to inherit a substantial amount from their sister team's 2018 car as Red Bull synergise resources with their junior team within the spirit of the rules, by taking a leaf out of the partnership Ferrari have with their customer team Haas.
As part of the streamlining process, the Faenza based outfit has not replaced technical director James Key who has left the team for McLaren. Team consultant Helmut Marko
declaring the position redundant in the context of the organisation fielding two teams.
The STR14 passed the mandatory FIA crash tests on 12 January, ahead of the 2019 season in which they will field 'Komeback Kid' Daniil Kvyat and rookie Alexander Albon.
