Jeremy Clarkson, many people either take or leave your often random public pot shots and rants.

But your recent tirade taking direct aim at Lewis Hamilton in the week following the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix in your column for The Sun left me wondering about the damage you are doing to the legacy that the seven-time champions leaves the sport of Formula 1 when he eventually decides to retire from competing as a driver.
"Lewis Hamilton needs a smacked bottom," you wrote. "He spent most of last week's thrilling race on the radio, claiming the chap in front of him Fernando Alonso was cheating.
"Which he wasn't. And then when Lewis finishes in third place, he flopped about on the podium claiming he has 'long Covid.'
"Which seems to me to be another way of saying: 'Please ignore Esteban Ocon, the rookie who just beat me. I'm the real hero and don't you forget that.'
"Well I'm sorry Lewis, but if you behave like that, you aren't. Oh, and pay your taxes."
It was not the first time that you have been openly and seemingly maliciously critical of Hamilton and even though you are a passionate F1 fan, as are millions of us around the world, the damage that your obviously high level public profile could be doing to the reputation of possibly the greatest World Champion in the history of the sport, and indeed a fellow countryman, needs to be brought into question, as are your motivations for doing so.
Even though you are supposedly an expert in the media specialising in the automotive field, your subjective and possibly even disrespectful comments and criticisms not only show a lack of comprehension of the competitive level and environment that an F1 driver operates at, but they also demonstrate that for some unknown reason you have a deeper dislike of Hamilton as a person, be it jealousy or something else.
Hamilton is as outspoken as any other driver, in and out of the cockpit, but it does seem unfair to Hamilton, and the sport of F1 for someone with such a public voice as yourself to be using it to deliberately undermine the reputation of a seven-time world champion, who is possibly on the brink of his eighth, simply because you do not like him.
So, Jeremy Clarkson, if anyone needs to smack on the bottom, or preferably a firm clip over the ear, it is you.
Pull your head in, act your age, and show some respect, mate.
Oh, and Jeremy, if you need the contact details for some support, or if you or any of the readers have any questions that you would like me to answer directly, please feel free to email me via the GP247 contact form and I will endeavour to respond as soon as I can.
