Under-pressure Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez is adamant he will remain with the team for the rest of the 2024 Formula 1 season and even in 2025.

The Mexican driver's statement comes after another terrible weekend at his home race in Mexico City last weekend where he struggled in qualifying and the race reigniting speculation about his future with Red Bull Racing despite having a contract in place for the 2025 F1 season.
Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner said after the race in Mexico that there would be some difficult decisions to make when asked about Perez's performance, while Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko hinted the struggling driver will not be around in 2025.
Facing the media in Sao Paulo on Thursday, Perez was asked if this would be his final race with Red Bull; he responded: "No, not at all. It’s just rumors, at the end of the day.
"You will see me in Vegas; you will see me next year. I’m not the one that worries about it," the defiant driver added.
Perez started the race in Mexico from 18th on the grid and was making decent progress until he reached VCARB's Liam Lawson, after which the pair clashed, ruining the Red Bull driver's race after sustaining damage to his car.
Asked about his difficult race and Marko's hints that he will not remain with Red Bull in 2025, Perez, a six-time Grand Prix winner, said: "Well, I know I am. That’s all I can say.
"What happened, it’s in the past," he went on, referring to Mexico. "We move on, and we take those first 10 laps as a hope. We understood what happened in qualifying; we saw issues; we tried to fix it for Sunday; and I think we went in the right direction, so that’s definitely promising.
"We understood a lot of the issues we had in Mexico; on my side, when you look at my first 10 laps of Mexico, they were looking good and competitive," he reiterated. "But we definitely have to find [something]—when you look at the pace from McLaren and Ferrari, they seem to be in another level in the last two races.
"I really hope that we can be in the mix here," Perez said of his race in Brazil. "We understood a few of the issues, but it’s just not very clear how we’re going to solve them.
"It’s a different track; the altitude probably had a bigger impact on us [in Mexico], so we’ll see. I think tomorrow [Friday] we will have a pretty good idea on where we are," he concluded.
