Red Bull Racing release images of actual RB22 ahead of Barcelona debut

Red Bull Racing issued a press release on Monday with images of their actual 2026 Formula 1 car, the RB22.

After they launched the livery of their 2026 F1 challenger on January 15 in a huge event held in Detroit, the home of engine partners Ford, Red Bull Racing release imaged of he actual RB22 ahead of it track debut in Barcelona.
Red Bull will take part in the five-day closed test held at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya where each F1 team is allowed to test for three days.
Red Bull Racing said in a statement: "The Team shares an exclusive first look at RB22, which is set to make its official debut on track today at the Barcelona Shakedown in its new signature gloss livery.
"The Team's season will officially fire up as RB22 runs Red Bull Ford Powertrains' power unit, the DM01, for the very first time.
"Drivers Max Verstappen and new teammate Isack Hadjar are both set to get behind the wheel and put RB22 through its paces, debuting their new helmet designs and Sparco race suits at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya."
The team also released the following technical details about the RB22:
  1. Model name: Oracle Red Bull Racing – RB22
  2. Power Unit: Red Bull Ford Powertrains DM01
  3. Gearbox: Red Bull Technology designed and built 8 speed transmission
  4. Fuel: Esso Synergy
  5. Oil: Mobil 1
  6. Brakes: Carbon-Carbon Composite
  7. Callipers: Brembo
  8. Rims: OZ, 18" wheel diameter
While the images are of the actual RB22, they were taken in a studio with the team making sure no design details have been revealed.
After the test in Barcelona, Red Bull will take part in the official pre-season tests which will be held in Bahrain on February 11-13 and February 18-20.
The season starts with the 2026 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 8.
