Kimi Raikkonen ended the Silverstone test fastest of all which provided a much needed boost for his Ferrari team, bu the Finn admitted that in terms of results he and the Italian team expect more.
Ferrari have disappointed this year with a difficult car that has not not been kind to both Raikkonen and teammate Sebastian Vettel.
After the British Grand Prix it appears that the Reds have dropped to third, behind Red Bull, in the F1 pecking order.
Raikkonen told journalists at the end of the final day of the two day Silverstone test, "We always expect more as a team, we want to win, and until we win all the time it's not ideal. As Ferrari we expect to win, but this is what we have got, so we'll keep working and improving."
When pushed to predict if Ferrari could win a grand Prix this season, he replied in his typical forthright manner, "I don't know why you want to start guessing things. We will see what will happen in the second part of the year, and yes we believe we can still win."
"We know the value of the Mercedes cars but we are serious and we focused on growing further for the future," revealed raikkonen. "We are all angry and the next race will provide us with an opportunity to do even better and keep fighting to try and win."
"It doesn't matter if every car is there or not. Who knows what will happen in the races, but we know we have work to be done, so for sure there will be chances, so it will be better," insisted the 36 year old veteran of 241 grand prix starts.
