NewsDesk Unplugged | Leclerc at Ferrari for "several" more years

Leclerc will be a Ferrari driver for several years, the 26-year-old driver from Monaco and the great Italian team confirmed the news ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship season. According to Stake F1 betting odds, Leclerc is the fourth favourite to win the 2024 F1 World Championship title. Reigning triple F1 World Champion, Red Bull's Max Verstappen is the outright favourite.

In a press statement released by the legendary Italian team, Leclerc said: “I’m very pleased to know that I will be wearing the Scuderia Ferrari race suit for several more seasons to come. I believe the best is yet to come and I can’t wait for this season to start, to make further progress and be competitive at every race.

"My dream remains that of winning the World Championship with Ferrari and I’m sure that in the years ahead, we will enjoy great times together and make our fans happy.”

Ferrari, in turn, owes both Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz a regular race-winning car and outstanding execution at Grand Prix weekends.

Team Principal Fred Vasseur: “We are determined to give Charles a winning car and I know that his determination and commitment are elements that can make the difference in helping us reach our goals."

Jad [a long-suffering Tifosi] summed up his feelings: "I hope that finally, he's the one who's is going get that elusive championship for Ferrari and hopefully in the coming years. But honestly, I'm not sure, because you know, this era, is going to be Red Bull-dominated. But we must try and stay positive. and let's see what they can do. And if Charles stays beyond 2026 Let's see what the new era brings with Ferrari and Leclerc."

For Paul, extending with Charles was a no-brainer for Ferrari: "He's just got to hope and pray that Ferrari, deliver a decent car, and they can win races. Maybe even push for the championship and win a title. I'll be delighted for Ferrari Tifosi, many of them are like Jad, my mates... Winning will hopefully stop their moaning since 2008!"
