The Jules Bianchi Society has been established in order to support young karting drivers on their path to Formula 1.
Bianchi raced in 34 Formula 1 races for Marussia, his best result being ninth at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix. Later that year he sustained severe injuries in a freak accident at the Japanese Grand Prix and passed away in July 2015.
On the second anniversary of the Frenchman's best and only F1 result, a foundation has been launched with the aim of supporting selected drivers during the early days of their karting careers. The Jules Bianchi Society will offer additional support where possible.
Jules' father, Philippe Bianchi, the Society's Honorary President, said, "My son, Jules, is gone too soon without being able accomplish the goals he set. Today it is my duty to continue to live through these actions."
"Fighting the absolute reality of his death via the Jules Bianchi Society is for me the most beautiful of missions, the most beautiful proof of love. I'm sure, from where he is, he is proud to have given his name, his colours and his values to this association," he added.
