Spanish actor Javier Bardem is one of the stars taking part in the upcoming "F1" movie and has hailed it as the most authentic ever.

"F1" the movie, will make its debut internationally on July 25, 2025, while its North American debut will be on July 27, 2025. The movie is directed by Joe Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer as well as Brad Pitt and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
Bardem offered some insight on the highly anticipated movie starring Brad Pitt, and while admitting he was no racing fan, the Spaniard has become fascinated with the world of F1.
"I'm not a huge racing fan myself, because I barely know how to drive a car, so it's not in my nature," Bardem said. "But I have to say that, in order to research for this job, I watched some documentaries, read about it, and watched some Netflix series, like Drive To Survive, all that.
"I got very interested in it. Especially in the work behind the scenes and what it takes to put a driver into a car and how much it means, not only for the crowds out there, which is obvious, but for the people that really make the teams and how important it is for them," he explained.

"F1" has heart

Bardem went on explaining how he got interested in taking on such a project; he added: "When I first read the script, I felt like I was absolutely drawn into that world because of the quality and the quantity of the detail, the tiny detail that really makes you understand every aspect involved in the F1 world.
"And I knew that, technically speaking, visually speaking, it is going to be a tremendous... a very strong movie, in that case, by the quality of the people involved, Joe [Kosinski] and his team and Jerry [Bruckheimer] as producer.
"Those two things combined got my interest in order to be part of it and help to tell the story, which is very well put together, I have to say," Bardem admitted, adding: "It has, I would say, a lot of humor, which is a good thing.
"Because, while you are on the ride, the adrenaline ride of a movie like this, you're having a great time and laughing quite a lot. And that's always nice to have, right?
"I think it's going to be the most authentic movie ever done about the F1 world," the Academy Award winner claimed. "And that's beyond saying. But, on top of that, it has a heart inside.
"It has a heart, and it has a motive about, really, what it means to be comrades, what it means to really sacrifice yourself for a team, for the best of others. And for a group of people to win together rather than just get the victory just for yourself.
"It's an exercise about really sacrificing yourself in order to belong to something greater than your own ego, for example," Bardem concluded.
