Lewis Hamilton will be at the wheel of a Ferrari Formula 1 car on Tuesday in Barcelona along with teammate Charles Leclerc under the "Testing of Previous Cars" (TPC) allocation.
Hamilton made his Ferrari debut with his first visit to Maranello on January 20, meeting the team management and staff while undergoing what Ferrari labeled a "total immersion program" before making
his track debut at Fiorano, driving the 2023 Red single-seater, the SF-23, on January 22.
But today, Tuesday, January 28, Hamilton will get another chance to drive a Ferrari as the team have booked Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya for a three-day test under TPC regulations with the SF-23 once again made available for Hamilton and Leclerc.
While Fiorano is a track that Hamilton is not familiar with, Barcelona is a circuit he knows very well, which will help him get more acclimatized with the Ferrari systems and, more importantly, the Ferrari power unit, which the seven-time F1 champion will be propelled by for the first time in his F1 career, having previously driven Mercedes-powered cars only.
Then Hamilton will get another chance to test with Ferrari in February 4 and 5, testing prototype Pirelli tyres for the 2026 season when the new F1 regulations will be effective. The car used will be the SF-24 but modified to be as close as possible to the 2026 F1 car.
On Monday, Ferrari revealed the racing suits Hamilton and Leclerc will wear for the 2025 F1 season along with the helmet designs both drivers will be using.
