Gulf Air extends Bahrain Grand Prix F1 title partnership until 2027

Formula 1 confirmed that Gulf Air will continue as the Title Partner of the Bahrain Grand Prix through to 2027, extending a partnership that has been in place since the race's inaugural edition in 2004. The agreement marks the longest-standing title partnership in the sport.

As the first Formula 1 race to be held in the Middle East, the Bahrain Grand Prix established itself as a landmark event when it debuted on 4 April 2004. Over the past 21 years, the race has become a fixture on the calendar, delivering world-class racing under the desert lights with Gulf Air ever present.

Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “Gulf Air’s enduring commitment to the Bahrain Grand Prix is a testament to the power of long-term partnerships in motorsport.

"Their support, spanning over two decades, has been instrumental in establishing this race as a favourite on the Formula 1 calendar, attracting fans from all over the world to a weekend of great racing and top entertainment. We are thrilled to continue this collaboration and look forward to more thrilling racing and shared success in Bahrain," Prazer added.

A synonymous partnership

Jeffrey Goh, Gulf Air Group Chief Executive Officer, emphasised the broader impact of the collaboration: “We are immensely proud to extend our partnership with Formula 1, a relationship that has become synonymous with the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“This collaboration not only reinforces Bahrain’s prominent position on the international motorsport stage but also serves as a powerful catalyst for economic growth, tourism development, and global brand recognition for the Kingdom,' Concluded Goh.

The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 is scheduled to take place from 11-13 April, following the conclusion of Ramadan, which is expected to run from 1-31 March.

The event will once again offer a vibrant mix of high-speed action and entertainment, blending Bahraini culture with a festival atmosphere that attracts fans and visitors from around the world. Alongside the racing spectacle, the grand prix weekend will feature live performances, gourmet dining experiences, and immersive fan experiences at the Bahrain International Circuit.

With the 2025 F1 season set to feature major team shake-ups and an influx of new talent from Formula 2, anticipation is high for another dramatic edition of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
