The critically acclaimed Formula 1 Exhibition is set to make its South American debut in Buenos Aires, Argentina, marking the first stop on a wider regional tour.
The award-winning show, Formula 1 Exhibition has enjoyed record-breaking success in Madrid, Vienna, and Toronto, will open to the public on 22 March 2025 and run until 1 June 2025.
The exhibition will showcase exclusive contributions from legendary teams, iconic South American drivers, and motorsport personalities. Fans will have the opportunity to experience Formula 1 race cars from various eras, rare artefacts, and never-before-seen video content.
The show will also feature cutting-edge F1 Fastest Lap Simulators, allowing visitors to step into the driver’s seat for a unique racing experience.
A Journey Through Formula 1’s History
The exhibition is structured into several immersive galleries. Visitors begin with
Once Upon A Time In Formula 1, which presents a mix of unseen photography, historic F1 cars, film, and artefacts, offering a deep dive into the sport’s defining moments.
Design Lab grants an exclusive look inside an F1 factory, highlighting the intricate processes of car design and manufacturing. Meanwhile, Drivers & Duels celebrates the most iconic drivers and legendary races since Formula 1’s inception in 1950.
A more sombre yet significant part of the exhibition, Fallen Heroes, honours drivers who lost their lives in pursuit of success. The Survival gallery then revisits Romain Grosjean’s dramatic 150 mph crash in Bahrain 2020, featuring the remains of his HAAS car and a multi-screen installation with unseen interviews and footage of the incident.

South America’s F1 Legacy and Growing Popularity
Buenos Aires’ selection as the host city underscores South America’s deep-rooted connection with Formula 1. The region has produced some of the sport’s greatest champions, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet, and Emerson Fittipaldi.
The Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos remains a fan and driver favourite, having hosted season finales in the past. More recently, the sport has seen a resurgence in popularity, driven by the rise of Franco Colapinto and Kick Sauber F1 rookie Gabriel Bortoleto.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, emphasised the significance of the exhibition’s expansion into South America: “As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the importance of acknowledging the sport’s history and heritage is even more poignant.
Since the first show in Madrid, F1 Exhibition has been a great success in telling the story of Formula 1 and we are delighted it will make its South American debut in Buenos Aires. There has been a strong resurgence in support from the region and we cannot wait for fans to celebrate the pivotal role the region has played in defining our sport," added Prazer.
