It is a waste of time to assess the strength of teams based on the results of preseason tests. As statistics show, at the first Grand Prix, Formula 1 teams change places between favourites and outsiders.

However, in 2025 not all teams have built their Formula 1 cars from scratch. Most racing teams only modernised last year's cars in order to throw all the resources to prepare for the 2026 season, when Formula 1 will receive a completely new technical regulation.
By the way, the Memocasino site accepts bets on motorsport and gives new customers free bonuses. Experts of the betting project recommend taking a closer look at Ferrari. The team from Maranello has 90% renewed the car for the new season and therefore can surprise with both good and poor results. As experienced fans know, in past years Scuderia's technical experiments often led to major losses.

Aston Martin will become an outsider

The drop in results of Aston Martin, which began in 2024, will continue this year. The off-season tests proved to be a failure for the team. Aston Martin F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll overcame the shortest distance, regularly faced technical problems, and on speed could only equal Haas and Sauber.
Obviously, the Brits are looking forward to the 2026 season, when Adrian Newton will build the first car for Aston Martin. However, another failed season could hit the drivers' motivation hard and disrupt the friendly atmosphere within the team.

Williams is back in contention

Carlos Sainz made his Williams debut with the fastest lap in F1 testing. Alex Albon was not far behind. It looks like the team from Grove was able to take a small step forward.
Of course, Williams will not be in the top three. However, for sure the British will be able to fight for the title of the best of the rest, and a strong combination of racers Sainz-Albon gives hopes for a regular hit in the points zone.

Red Bull will lose speed

The Austrians lost a lot last year. And this applies not only to the Constructors' Cup. The team left a lot of valuable technical specialists. Perhaps this explains why Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson encountered problems during the F1 test in Bahrain.
It seems that the new Red Bull car is behaving erratically and did not add much in speed. The Austrian team ended up fourth in terms of lap times in the F1 practice results.

Ferrari is ready to fight for the Formula 1 title

Bahrain Preseason Test: Hamilton's Ferrari career kicks off
Scuderia is entering a new era and is ready to go to the most radical measures to finally take the title. The invitation of Lewis Hamilton confirms the ambitions of the team. Overall Ferrari looked stable at the tests, although the Scuderia drivers were cautious in their comments.
It is still difficult to say whether Hamilton and Leclerc will be able to compete with McLaren. But one thing is clear: Ferrari will definitely be among the leaders in 2025. Apparently, the car, built almost from scratch, works as it should, and such a team has not been around for many years.

Mercedes again does not give guarantees

Toto Wolff honestly admitted that he is in perplexity. The cold weather should have given the Mercedes F1 Team an advantage, but it did not happen. It seems that the engineers once again turned somewhere wrong, and therefore at the start of the season the Germans will have to spend time to correct mistakes.

McLaren will remain the Formula leader

Lando Norris assessed the potential of the new machine with restraint, although it was noticeable that the Briton tinkered. Oscar Piastri was not shy in expressing himself and called the new McLaren flawless. The Briton lost out on speed at the tests to many teams, but few doubt that it will be Norris and Piastri who will be fighting for the championship title in 2025.

Sauber will improve on pit stops

The Sauber team is in perhaps its most comfortable position. Each employee of the team understands that the next season the Swiss cars will spend at the end of the starting grid. Therefore, at the tests, Sauber decided to pay attention to the training of pit stops, which was one of the main problems of the team in the 2024 season.
By the way, I wonder how Sauber's fate will turn out in 2026. Audi is experiencing serious financial problems right now, carrying out massive layoffs. It cannot be ruled out that this may negatively affect the company's plans in Formula 1.
Haas, Alpine, and Racing Bulls as if they were in the same group, although, of course, that is not the case. Based on the results of the test sessions, these teams took quite predictable places. If we take into account that each of these racing teams has very limited financial resources, then it is hardly worth expecting revolutionary results from them.
For each of the outsider teams, it is important to save money, time, and resources to build a new car for 2026. However, Flavio Briatore and Alpine may surprise the fans by unexpectedly firing one of their drivers during the season.
