The final trailer for F1 The Movie has been released, ahead of the film’s international cinema debut on 25 June and North American release on 27 June.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Lewis Hamilton, Brad Pitt and others, the film stars Pitt as fictional former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes. F1 The Movie is the latest project from the creative team behind Top Gun: Maverick, and has been made in partnership with Formula 1 for added authenticity, with production crews granted special access to real Grand Prix weekends during filming.
The film follows Hayes, once regarded as a rising F1 star in the 1990s before a career-ending crash. Three decades later, he is recruited by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes – played by Javier Bardem – to help rescue a struggling team on the brink of collapse.
Hayes returns to Formula 1 alongside rookie driver Joshua Pearce, played by
Damson Idris, in a final bid for redemption in the ultra-competitive world of Grand Prix racing. The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Kim Bodnia.
The trailer’s launch follows a promotional push during the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, where the movie’s official soundtrack was unveiled. Featured artists include Ed Sheeran, ROSÉ, Burna Boy and Tate McRae. Two singles have already been released: Lose My Mind, by Don Toliver and Doja Cat, and Messy, performed by K-Pop star ROSÉ, who attended the Miami event in person.
The film has received full support from the
Formula 1 paddock, including teams, drivers, the FIA and race promoters. F1 The Movie will be released worldwide in cinemas from 25 June.
