In a bid to improve the performance of their 2025 Formula 1 car, the SF-25, Ferrari will be testing a new rear suspension in a filming day at Mugello this week.

Ferrari will have both drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, on driving duty at Mugello on Wednesday, sharing the SF-25 over the 200 km session.
The session will be conducted for commercial filming purposes, but Ferrari will make sure to run their new suspension before introducing it at the upcoming 2025 Belgian Grand Prix.
The SF-25 has not been up to the task of fighting with the likes of Mercedes, Red Bull Racing, and naturally McLaren, but Ferrari has kept working on it.
The team at Maranello introduced a new floor for the SF-25 over the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, where Leclerc qualified second on the grid while Hamilton was fourth. The Monegasque and the Briton finished the race third and fourth, respectively.
The new suspension will feature a redesigned front upper arm and a reconfigured upper wishbone section, which consequently means new attachment points on the gearbox casing. Ferrari will be hoping that it will help them sort out ride height issues for the SF-25.
Reports claim that initial simulations at Ferrari have shown encouraging signs regarding the new suspension, and the team will be hoping to validate that positivity during Wednesday's filming day at Mugello.
The team will then gather enough data to analyze and make a decision on whether the new suspension will be among the SF-25 parts that will be shipped to Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Both Ferrari drivers, and especially Hamilton, have struggled with the SF-25 so far this season, as the team is currently second in the 2025 F1 constructors' standings, 238 points behind McLaren.
Leclerc is fifth in the drivers' championship with 119 points, while Hamilton is sixth with 103 points.
