Esteban Ocon seems to be increasingly irritated about speculation regarding his future with the Haas Formula 1 Team, which was reflected in his response to questions on the subject over the weekend in Austria.

Ocon joined Haas in 2025, and his contract with the team runs until the end of the 2026 F1 season.
But the Frenchman's performances have not been up to the team's expectations, as he was regularly beaten by Oliver Bearman in 2025 when the latter was still a rookie.
Haas Team Principal Ayao Komatsu admitted ahead of the 2026 season that he wasn't satisfied with Ocon's performances, urging him to improve.
However, the Frenchman's future hangs in the balance, with reports claiming he may be on his way out, as the driver labeled all the noise as lies that have affected his family and sponsors.
More recently, Ocon was asked about his future with Haas in Austria; he responded: “I’ve got the trust of the team. I’ve got the trust of Ayao.
“I'm focused with the team to try and get the things that we have in control better. So I'm chill on my side, trying to do the best we can, focusing on the right things.
“People can say whatever the fuck they want; to be honest, I don't give a shit too much, and I'm just wanting to do a good job for everyone," a defiant Ocon said.
He added: “It's been three, four races where it's been quite tough for the whole team. Of course, we've scored a few points, but not enough, not what we want, and we need to come back into shape, and we deserve it.
“Obviously, we are doing a lot of hard work, but it has yet to come and pay off," Ocon concluded.
Haas have been struggling in 2026 while bringing upgrades that did not seem to work with Komatsu looking to extract consistent performance starting from Austria. (Reporting by Agnes Carlier)
