Formula 1 is considered as the greatest and most exciting sport among many people around the world, while at times quite predictable, this year fans are in for a treat because the battle between the Big Three - Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari - is expected to be closer than ever, while the likes of McLaren and Racing Point also looked fairly decent during recent winter testing
Looking ahead to the new season much is unknown as the season heads to Melbourne for the opener, but there is a sure way to get a feel of the pecking order ahead of the new season, best thing to do is to check the odds because they are sure to be a good indicator of who is where and expectations for the first F1 season of this decade

As mentioned, the stage is set for an extremely exciting F1 season. Although Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton are again the biggest favourites to win the title, his rivals aim to make this the toughest season he has had. These are drivers most likely to be at the top when the season finishes:
Valtteri Bottas
Hamilton’s companion won four races in 2019 and is considered as one of the best drivers in the Championship. He seems to be improving with every season, leading us to believe that 2020 will be no different. If he pushes the extra mile, he may end up lifting the world title at the end of the season. But... refer to Lewis Hamilton below.
Max Verstappen
At the age of 17 years and 166 days, Verstappen became the youngest driver in Formula 1 history. Max finished the 2019 season at the 3rd place with 278 points. Many fans chose him as the next F1 Champion and we are excited to see if that statement will come true.
Charles Leclerc
You’d be crazy if you wouldn’t think that this youngster is not among the best in F1. Leclerc had his debut season for Ferrari last year and he was nothing short but amazing. Having won 7 poles and 2 races, Leclerc finished 4th. Experts believe that he will be the fiercest challenger in the 2020 season with teammate Sebastian Vettel supposedly his wingman.
Lewis Hamilton
Finally, we have one who many consider the greatest driver of our era. Yes, much of his success is because Mercedes is funding the team massively – innovation a luxury they have in abundance, they recently introduced their
new DAS steering wheel, but Hamilton is a sharp and skilled driver. Lewis is the biggest favourite to win the 2020 F1 World Championship and if he does, he'll tie Michael Schumacher's incredible record of seven F1 world titles.
Although the safe money will be on Hamilton and Mercedes bagging a combined 14 F1 titles in seven years come the end of this season, it will be more adventurous to opt for Verstappen in blue or Leclerc in red, with Vettel and Bottas unlikely to be sitting around.
