The second day of the 2026 Formula 1 private shakedown at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was concluded as only Ferrari and Red Bull Racing took part.

From early morning, other F1 teams started announcing that they would sit out Tuesday's running due to forecasted rain or based on original run plans in the case of Haas, who racked up 154 laps on Monday.
With Aston Martin coming in the final two days, only Ferrari and Red Bull Racing sent their cars out on track despite the wet conditions.
Charles Leclerc started the day for Ferrari while Max Verstappen was on driving duty for Red Bull Racing.
Lewis Hamilton took over the SF-26 in the afternoon which saw Isack Hadjar back in the cockpit of the RB22.
Verstappen spun on his outlap in the RB22, and with the bad weather, managed 27 laps with a best time of 1:19.578.
Leclerc managed a respectable 64 laps in the AM session, to which Hamilton added a solid 56 laps in the PM, the Monegasque delivering the second-best time of 1:20.578.
While Hadjar drove 51 laps in the afternoon, his session came to a premature end as he crashed the RB22 into the barriers at Turn 14, damaging the rear side of the RB22, reportedly the rear wing.
Ferrari's 120 laps has confirmed the early signs that they have a solid power unit which propelled the Haas of Esteban Ocon for 154 laps on Monday.
It was less of an ideal day for Red Bull, who accumulated over 100 laps on the first day, which is probably due to the weather, aside from Hadjar's crash, that is.
Running will resume on Wednesday with McLaren confirming that their MCL40 will be at the track as they look to run for the final three days of the test.
