Fernando Alonso managed to extract some handy pace from his McLaren to end sixth fastest, but his teammate did not find the sweet spot and as a result was 1.5 seconds adrift of his teammate in 19th.
Force India appear to have also unlocked some pace since China with both their drivers featuring prominently in FP2, the pair ended the day with Esteban Ocon seventh and Sergio Perez in 12th.
