McLaren's mechanics delivered a lightening fast pitstop for their driver Lando Norris, a 1.8s pitstop which now stands as the fastest in Formula 1 history.

McLaren have been enjoying a recent surge in form lately, one that started back in Austria when the team overhauled their 2023 F1 challenger, the MCL60, that started its life as a mediocre F1 machine at the start of this season.
Since then, the Woking squad have been ramping up their results and performance, Norris bagging three podium finished in a row - Singapore, Japan, and Qatar.
With two great talents behind in their cockpits, McLaren have in Norris a young but experienced racer chasing his first F1 win, while rookie Oscar Piastri has turned out to be an impressive talent, fast, calm, and humble.
McLaren went into legal war with Alpine in 2022 to secure Piastri's services, and the Australian has repaid their faith with the performance he has delivered so far this year, he best achievement to date is winning the Sprint race over the F1 weekend in Qatar.
But McLaren proved during the Qatar Grand Prix that they are now firing on all cylinders, as in addition to sorting out their MCL60 to become the second fastest car behind Red Bull Racing's RB19, the team have also been delivering faultless trackside operations.
While fast pitstops have been a Red Bull trademark, McLaren have delivered the fastest pitstop ever in the history of F1, as they changed all four tyres on Norris' car on lap 27, in a blinding 1.8s.
Before that the record of pitstops was held by Red Bull, 1.82s pitstop when they changed Max Verstappen's tyres during the 2019 Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil, keeping in mind the current F1 cars are heavier than the previous generation.
This shows, that having a fast car in F1 is not enough, the whole operation has to be sharp and fast.
