Williams ask fans to vote for special Gulf livery

Williams asks fans to vote special Gulf liveryWilliams will run a special livery for the Formula 1 races in Singapore, Suzuka, and Losail later this season, and are letting the fans choose from four options.

The Grove outfit will let fans decide the look of their car for the Singapore, Japanese and Qatar Formula 1 Grands Prix with a vote on four options in the blue and orange of sponsor Gulf Oil International.

The designs are titled Bolder than Bold, Contemporary, Visionary and Heritage.

Williams said there would be three rounds of voting with the winning color scheme displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

Formula 1 champions Red Bull are racing with fan-designed liveries at this year’s three U.S. rounds, with the first used in Miami this month.

Williams who have a new Team Principal in 2023, former Mercedes strategy chief, James Vowles, are currently sitting last in the 2023 F1 Constructors’ Championship with only one point courtesy of Alex Albon’s tenth place at the Bahrain Grand Prix season opener back in March.

Williams is currently undergoing another rebuilding process under Vowles’ watch, who recently admitted the team has lost many of its top talents to rivals over the years.

The once great team has won nine Constructors’ Titles and seven Drivers’ Titles from the 114 grand prix wins they have achieved in F1. Their last win dates back to 2012 when Pastor Maldonado won that year’s Spanish Grand Prix.
