Mar.28 (YallaF1 Magazine) The Malaysian Grand Prix. This is why we love Formula 1!
No one would have bet a dime on Fernando Alonso snatching a victory at Sepang, equally ,no one would have bet a dime on Sergio Perez emerging to challenge Alonso and nearly score a win, but do the sensible thing, and bag second place instead.
Yes, few would have dared script such an unlikely scenario; the biggest team in the world loved by many, starts the season with terrible car, and no hope at all, qualifies poorly in Malaysia and then wins the race.
Oh yes, challenged all the way by a 22 year old upstart who is also in line to drive for the legendary team he came so close to beating this particular soggy Sunday.
Take that script and tear it up - too unrealistic, belongs in a Sylvester Stallone motor racing fantasy.
Well, as we all know it was not scripted at all, in fact it was a real life drama which fiction will never be able to emulate.
In this issue we look back on the drama and incident packed - even wacky - weekend which saw the underdogs and no-hopers come up trumps, while the favourites and reigning champions were bit-players.
Plenty of talk, plenty of great images as we deliver another bumper issue of nothing but F1 news.
Enjoy!
