Williams became the second Formula 1 team after McLaren to shake down their 2025 challenger, the FW47, at Silverstone circuit on Friday.
The FW47 was carrying a bespoke one-off livery while the 2025 F1 season livery will be revealed on February 18 during the F1 75 Live event at London's O2 Arena.
Williams have had many changes ahead of the 2025 F1 season with Carlos Sainz joining from Ferrari while the team have signed a
new title sponsor in the form of ATLASSIAN.
Sainz was joined by teammate Alex Albon for the launch event as well as team principal James Vowles who now starts his third season in the hot seat at Grove.
The CEO of ATLASSIAN Mike Cannon-Brookes also made a statement remotely speaking about the new partnership with Williams ahead of the 2025 season.
Williams will be hoping the FW47 is another step forward as James Vowles continues the execution of his plan to bring the once-great team higher up the grid. The Grove-based outfit finished the 2024 F1 season ninth in the constructors' championship.
Sainz was the first of the Williams' drivers to sample the FW47 as he set out on a couple of out-laps before returning to the pits. Afterwards, he reported: "I can tell you everything went fine, which is good news. An install lap of a newly born car is always a bit tricky, but everything worked as it should and now we're ready to get into the run plan."
