Aside from being the premiere motorsport around the world, F1 is globally famous as a brand and as a product label. There are thousands of officially licensed products out there for Formula 1 which bring in millions every year.

However, the items that have been available so far tend to drop into only a handful of categories and there is a lot of scope for the company to license the name out to a host of other products. Below are some of the opportunities that F1 has so far missed out on.

Cars

The F1 World Championship features some of the biggest car manufacturers in the world, each with decades of pedigree in sports cars and a wealth of knowledge between a legion of engineers. For reasons of impartiality, F1 directly doing deals or being seen to favour any manufacturer is not allowed, however, there would be more scope for the company starting to produce a limited number of cars itself.
To be clear, this route would not be a particularly easy one thanks to the inevitable red tape and contracts, but a small number of specialist road-going cars created directly by F1 would go down well with fans. It isn't like the company wouldn't have the resources for it: decades of races would give them contacts and connections to put together an all-star engineering team and every professional facility needed.

Digital Entertainment

Apart from the long-running video game series of the same name and a few mobile apps, F1 hasn't made many ventures into the world of digital entertainment. It's something of a large gap in their commercial portfolio and it could do with some expanding.
For example, they could capitalise by taking advantage of the already-existing interest that the online casino world has in F1 racing. There are multiple slots already that focus on particular drivers or racing in general, but nothing with the official brand on it. If they could pair that interest with the rising popularity of Megaways casino games, they could have a simple but effective product that comes with a built-in audience.

Travel

In a similar vein to producing cars, the vast amount of resources that the F1 corporation has behind it opens up a lot of possibilities that others can't. Considering that 'going fast' and being worldwide are two of their biggest selling points, having their own flight service feels like a natural progression.
If they could offer, for example, direct flights to the tracks from major cities on their own airline, it could be sold as a luxury experience for megafans and then expanded to more general services. The only caveat right now is that air travel isn't in the strongest place right now, but on the other hand that could leave a big opening available.
With all the changes the corporation is undergoing at the moment, it isn't immediately clear what their next move will be, and any product expansions would undoubtedly be a way down the line. We're all looking forward to them though.
