The launch of the F1 2018 racing game is just around the corner, but Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen has already jumped into the driver seat to put the game through its paces during the British Grand Prix weekend.
He said of his stint on the sim-game, “First impressions were really good. I think the car has a more natural feel, and the graphics look really good. The car’s better to drive – we understand how real cars drive and in the game you have to drive it in a similar way.”
“I still need to practise a few more laps to do a better lap time. But I think that with the constant evolution in car performance, it’s difficult to judge. For my lap time, I can add another one to two seconds,” added, the Red Bull driver after setting an impressive virtual lap time of 1:28.782 during.
On the day, in his real car the Dutchman did a 1: 28.325 during FP1 on Friday at Silverstone.
