Red Bull Junior driver Dan Ticktum will sample the Honda-powered RB15 on day two of in-season testing when he takes over from Max Verstappen, a couple of days after the Bahrain Grand Prix at the venue near Manama.
Red Bull announced today:
Following the Grand Prix in Bahrain this weekend, the Team will remain in the Middle-East for our first taste of in-season testing as development continues with the RB15 for the 2019 campaign.
Ticktum will be sharing the driving duties with Max. Dan has been a member of the Red Bull Junior Team since 2017 and following a successful 2018 season in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, where he finished second, coupled with consecutive Macau Grand Prix victories, Dan will now take the next step with an official F1 test in the RB15.
Max will take the wheel on Tuesday (2nd April) before handing over to Dan on Wednesday (3rd April). 2019 also sees Dan continue his racing education, competing in Japan’s highly competitive Super Formula championship with Honda for Mugen Motorsport.
