Carlos Sainz said that Ferrari's 2022 Formula 1 car the F1-75, set to be revealed on February 17 is innovative to the max, but different.

Carlos Sainz is edging closer towards his second season with Ferrari, after debuting impressively for the team in 2021, beating Charles Leclerc on his way to fifth in the Drivers' Standings, securing four podiums in the process.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera, the Spaniard spoke of his preparations for he new F1 season, he said: " I did intensive training in January, between athletics and simulator."
Asked to describe the team's new Red single seater, the F1-75 to be revealed soon, Sainz said: "Different from the cars seen in recent years. Innovative to the max."
"Until last year we drove the best cars in the history of F1, well balanced but spiteful, if you lost control for a moment, you would crash," the 27-year-old went on the explain.
"This Ferrari seems to me even more responsive, the suspension is stiffer, we will have to get used to handling it."

Barcelona test will not give clear idea of the pecking order in 2022

Sainz then discussed how he expected the new car to be developed up to speed :"If it's easy to drive, everything emerges faster, the lap times almost come on their own. Then you have to compare the data with others.
"I don't think the first test in Barcelona will be enough, but in Bahrain we'll have some certain information," he admitted.
Ferrari are pinning their hopes on their 2022 creation to be a proper contender, which Sainz and Leclerc can make good use of to secure wins and return the Scuderia to its winning ways, and the former revealed that the team is pumped up in the build-up to the new season.
"Full of energy and positivity," he said of the atmosphere in within the team. "I think last year's experience did us all good. In the corridors, in Maranello, I meet smiling, toned, confident people.
"I don't see stress, I see a desire to do well," Sainz insisted.
Ferrari finished last season third in the Constructors' Championship, and will be looking to keep the upwards trend in 2022, hoping to capitalize on the new aero regulations that meant all teams will be starting from scratch.
