Nico Rosberg has hinted that he will remain at Mercedes for many years as he and the world champion team negotiate an extension to his contract
Rosberg, who is out of contract at the end of this season, has F1 veteran Gerhard Berger helping to negotiate a deal which is on the verge of being inked.
Despite delays in negotiations, the world championship leader is unperturbed, "It's not something I think about at the moment. It's not a priority at the moment because there is no pressure anyway.
"I'm feeling great, we are all happy to be together. I'm going to be here for many more years and that's it. There is no need to rush," added Rosberg.
Recently team chief Toto Wolff confirmed, "We would like to continue in the same way with Nico that we did and it is down to the detail in the contract which is pretty normal negotiations."
When asked if there were any obstacles, Wolff replied, "There is no hurdle, it is a normal process which takes time to get everything down to the detail and sort out."
"We are not flirting somewhere else and he is not flirting somewhere else. This is why it is not a distraction," he added.
Niki Lauda has also all but confirmed that a deal is now done. Report
