Oscar Piastri has been installed as the favourite to win the Italian Grand Prix this weekend, with bookmakers tipping another McLaren 1-2 at Monza.

According to Pundit Arena, the Australian leads the betting at 6/5 to take victory on Sunday in Italy, ahead of teammate Lando Norris at 15/8.
The McLaren pair are clear of the rest, with Max Verstappen third in the market at 17/2. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who won at Monza last year, is priced at 14/1, while Lewis Hamilton is rated a 25/1 outsider to deliver his first home win for Ferrari. George Russell is given slightly better odds at 18/1.
Joe Lyons of Pundit Arena reported: “Oscar Piastri marked Formula 1’s return from the summer break in style, winning last week’s Dutch Grand Prix ahead of his teammate Lando Norris. The odds suggest a repeat of this 1-2 at the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, with Piastri the clear 6/5 favourite while Norris is just behind him at 15/8."

Home victory for Ferrari at Monza home of the Tifosi?

Lyons continued: "Charles Leclerc has twice provided a home victory for Ferrari in this race, but he is an outside chance to defend last year’s win at 14/1 for another Monza triumph. Lewis Hamilton won his home Grand Prix at Silverstone on nine separate occasions and he’d love to net a home victory for Ferrari at 25/1.”
With eight races remaining in 2025, Piastri is also backed to edge the World Championship fight. Lyons added: “There’s no doubt the Drivers’ Championship will go down to the wire this year, but after outdoing his teammate on numerous occasions this season the odds favour Oscar Piastri at 3/10, with Norris behind at 7/2.
"That said, if Norris can land a victory at Monza, then those odds will surely fluctuate, as we expect them to right up until the final race," added Lyons.
Ahead of the 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Round 16 (of 24) of this year's Formula 1 World Championship, Piastri leads Norris by 34 points. Oscar has seven victories and scored in every round, while Lando has five but two DNFs to his name, including last Sunday at Zandvoort.
