Sergio Perez has been on a roll recently, and heads into his home Grand Prix with a competitive car for the first time, making him confident that he and his team have a chance to make a big result.

With back to back podium finishes in Istanbul and Austin, not to mention that he qualified third for the American race, and was perfectly positioned to support his title-contending teammate Max Verstappen.
Perez is clearly thrilled to be racing at home - the Mexican Grand Prix returning after a one-year hiatus due to Covid-19 - and was speaking in his team's press release.
"Incredibly excited, I am so much looking forward to it," he said. "My country has been so supportive of me throughout my career and I always love the chance to race in front of those fans.
"People are always blown away by the support I receive here in Mexico but they have always backed me, since many years ago, when my career was first starting."
The Mexican is relishing the fact that he has a fast car at his disposal in front of his home fans, for the first time in his career and is planning to capitalize on this.
"It's just great to finally have a Team and a car that we can dream of a victory in my home country," he admitted.
"We have a chance to make a big result happen this weekend, so I will prepare as well as I can and we will see what we are able to achieve."
But before everything got serious, the 31-year old will get the chance to have some fun by sampling a Red Bull F1 car in a show run on the streets of Mexico to the delight of his compatriots.
"It is going to be a crazy week, driving the Red Bull Racing car up one of the most iconic streets in the country will be really special," Perez pointed out. "It is something I have dreamt of for many years and to be able to bring my Red Bull car to my country will be very special.
"Then after the event I am planning to give a dinner for all the Team to make sure they try the great Mexican food and the good traditions that we have in our country," the two-time race winner revealed.
The Guadalajara-born racer revealed that he will be using a new lid with a tribute to his country: "For Mexico I wanted it to be a really special moment so I spoke with my designer and he came up with an incredible design.
"It is probably my favourite design I have ever worn. I wanted to put my colours on it in a bigger and better way than before, because on all of my helmet designs I try to represent my country and Mexican cultures and traditions.
"I have even changed the colour of the foam to those of the Mexican flag. I really can't wait to wear it and since I revealed it this week the Mexican people love it!" Perez concluded.
With the season going into its final five races, the title fight is sure to get more heated, and with the margins being so close, the focus at Red Bull will be on how Perez can support Verstappen as he battles Lewis Hamilton, who has Valtteri Bottas in his corner, in the fight for Formula 1 supremacy in 2021.
Perez currently sits fourth in the Drivers' Championship 35 points behind Bottas.
