Lando Norris's prized Ferrari F40 was crashed by a driver whose identity was not revealed as footage surfaced on social media.

The McLaren Formula 1 driver purchased his classic Ferrari last year for a reported $1.55-Million after winning the Miami Grand Prix. He was recently seen driving it with damage which raised questions.
But then a video surfaced on social media showing the accident that took place on a winding Monaco road and how the car snapped out of control and ended up in the barriers which caused significant damage to it rear-left corner.
It was clear from the footage that Norris was not the driver at the moment of the accident while the Briton was reportedly away on vacation.
The F40 is a special car in the series of Ferrari supercars and hypercars produced by the Italian marque. The list is below:
  • Ferrari 250 GTO (1962 -1964)
  • Ferrari 288 GTO (1984 - 1985)
  • Ferrari 288 GTO Evolution (1985)
  • Ferrari F40 (1987 - 1992)
  • Ferrari F40 LM (1989 - 1994)
  • Ferrari F50 (1995 - 1997)
  • Ferrari F50 GT (1996)
  • Ferrari Enzo (2002 - 2004)
  • Ferrari LaFerrari (2013 - 2016)
  • Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta (2016 - 2018)
  • Ferrari F80 (2024-current time)
What makes the F40 special is that it was the last car that was signed off by Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari. The car features a 2.9-biturbo V8 engine with a maximum output of 471 hp and can reach a maximum speed of 201 MPH.
Norris is now gearing up for the 2025 F1 season and he is expected to be a title contender, taking the fight to reigning champion Max Verstappen for the second season in a row as Red Bull struggled in 2024 while McLaren's performance improved massively.
