Felipe Nasr is keen to remain with the Sauber team beyond 2016 as he believes the Swiss outfit is upwardly mobile since Longbow Finance saved the team from collapse earlier this year.
Prior to that Nasr was frustrated and forlorn as he struggled with an uncompetitive car while working in a toxic environment of uncertainty.
But things have improved dramatically and when asked if he wants to remain with the team, Nasr replied, “Yes. I see this team on the way up and I see a lot of positives happening. Many good people have come on-board and they are looking for more. The team has really taken a step up.”
“The team is setting a good foundation and in terms of development it will be totally different to this year. Although we are behind schedule with the car for 2017, we can see the team working hard. It's all going in the right direction.”
“Since the takeover much has been happening, a lot has changed and this is all positive. We need time for things to fall into place and to see the development curve rising. You can see things progressing.”
“Sauber has always been a point-scoring team. Next year, having a solid base and a solid structure will see us back where we belong," added Nasr.
