McLaren have released a video teaser of their new car which by all accounts will be predominantly bright orange, suggesting a return to the team's Formula 1 and Can-Am cars of the past which were distinctive thanks to their distinctive 'papaya' livery.
The MCL33 will be revealed on Friday and wrote in the Tweet accompanying the video: “Night shift at McLaren will never be the same again. #MCL33 is coming. 23.02.18. #BeBrave”
Team boss Zak Brown said recently, "The car's not going to look the same as last year. Our whole brand, the visibility of McLaren, is going to go to the next level and it's going to be exciting."
"We know what a lot of the other teams are going to look like, but hopefully people will see the biggest change on and off the track at McLaren going into Australia," added Brown.
The team's star driver Fernando Alonso, who drove a bright orange McLaren-Honda-Andretti Dallara in last year's Indy 500, said, "I'll be happy with any colour, but McLaren and orange is part of our DNA, so it will be nice if we see some orange like the IndyCar. That was a great event and a great McLaren car there."
